Those bastards over at Blizzard are sneaky.
Anyways, it's TERA online open-beta weekend. Starts today @ 12 p.m. PST, ends Monday at 11:59 p.m. PST.
I am going to try it because I like the idea of an action-based mmo, where you can swing at the monster instead of having an auto-attack. I loved Dynasty Warriors as a kid, and I've wanted to try a decent mmo (FF XIV really put me off of Online RPG's for a while). It has a high-fantasy / techno-anime art style to it, but the animations and models are so beautiful. I can't wait to try it out for myself.
Here's the deal.
1. Create your En Masse account at https://account.enmasse.com.
2. Use the 'Enter Code' feature on the Account Overview page to type in your game code: TERABETA
3. Download TERA from the Account Overview page and install.
4. Play TERA!
The download is ~20 gb's, but takes a good 3 hours @ 2 Mb/s. If you have an older computer, you can try to play it on low setting, but it looks sooo awesome on high.
I know some people were going to play on the Dragonfall server, it's a PVE server. I created a Mumble channel, I will be idling in it today .
