So basically it looks like wow had a baby with Final Fantasy 14.
Making them both a WOW and Final Fantasy ripoff.

Closed beta starts tomorrow, so expect some sorta leak footage or whatevers.
Open Beta and release date to be announced eventually.

All information from press videos and what not will be released on Monday. TotalBiscuit will have a good number of videos on the beta uploaded over the course of a few days.

Guild Wars 2 open beta starts next weekend (27th). Anyone who has prepurchased has access, and I think they're inviting people who haven't prepurchased by signed up for the beta, but I'm not sure about that.

I think it'd be best to try and work out in advance what server world we'd all choose, rather than spending gems later (who knows how long it takes to score 1800 gems,) to try and unite .j2 off the start.

EDIT:
I found a post on gw2guru of someone who is actually keeping track of which communities are claiming home to which servers. I decided it'd be best to link that here in case there is an anti-community we'd rather go against in WvW and avoid in PvE.

I'm fine with any. Also, for the beta you're given 2000 gems to start (that don't transfer after beta), so if ya have to move you can. You can only move once per week. Aaannnd I think you can buy gems with money once the game releases. Right? Is that the money one?

We'd want to avoid 4chan. Either you're with them or your against them, and they will not hesitate to grief anyone and everyone given the chance. If you're in their guilds then you're fine, but if not they don't give a shit.
