Since the tank will go down with 10 hits on expert regardless of the melee weapon you are using, then the fastest melee weapon will take him out in the least amount of time.
Just imagine an expert campaing with the 4 survivors using the baton against a tank. The tank will be down in about 2-3 seconds ,but the tricky part is trying to get close to the tank without being hit.

But if all 4 survivors have the melee weapon, then it just takes 1 survivor playing sacrificial lamb while the others surround the tank on the other 3 sides. Faster melee weapons should give less damage than slower ones.

you should have seen my charge kill, i should have recorded it . it was so pro. Other j2s were there, one jockeyed someone right infront of me ooff the ledge, the other came to help and BAM.
Yo I was just playing l4d2 and I spawned.. then some asshole charger rammed me into the water and I died instantly, then norcal was like "what happened to kod?" and this other asshole was like "he's being stupid" so I left because Jay Tee (i think) is a dickfuckshit.
