Let's do a thing!

Okay, so ChaosWake has a server up that's vanilla and he and I had been discussing changing the server to factions, right? Sounds fun, right?

So what do ya'll think?

I honestly think this would be a good way of people being able to defend their creations as well as create some social stability on the server.

Not to mention just add a lot of features I think people would appreciate.

I'm all for it, but consider that there isn't many people who play right now. Factions is one of those finicky things that if you don't have many people playing, you just have a million little groups of 1-4 people.

Just my $.02.

I was playing on it to enjoy vanilla 1.8. Switching to Factions means you lose 1.8 features. :(

Rip. Okay well, not sure what to do, then. People are losing their shit over silly things and something like Factions would allow people to be protective, but not secluded.

Honestly thinking of installing Bukkit and just setting up some kind Area Protect plugin until we can find a better solution.

I'm purposely trying to be as least invasive as possible but maybe until we can figure out a longer term solution that might be something to work with.

Downgrading to 1.7 would make me sad.

If we downgraded to 1.7, 80% of my base would be non-existent, due to the new blocks I use for the structure.
