Re: National talk like a pirate day is this sunday
Tru dat.
I used to love J2, I can't believe how long it's been since I was last around. Are you still the budding bass guitarist you were 6 years ago? You must have graduated by now - I think you were just starting college around the time I was visiting less frequently. Shit, I feel old.

Politics in the UK is exactly like that video. It's all a big joke. They spend more time digging each other than they do getting any work done. We have a channel called BBC Parliment where we can watch this circus whenever there's a session - it's marvellous.

Re: Mirriors Edge
I've got it for the PS3, quite a fun game, but short. It has its frustrating moments, but then, I think that will always occur in games where they bring you closer to real life movement, but you're still confined in the game and world you're set in (i.e. if I can climb this thing, why can't I climn ...

Re: PlayStation Poll Thing... For an argument
The Wii is remarkable from a marketing point of view. They targeted a whole new audience and it worked. I like the wii, but I like the ps3 more. I recently bought one and I think the online play is superior to the wii, the friend / chat capabilities are better, the graphics are better, the ability t...

A new computing platform... this one really is similar to the one seen on Minority Report (there's a video on the frontpage of their site) http://oblong.com/ It's really cool, but with the tasks they're showing and how it appears to be used, I don't see this being used in the home, but for more spec...

Re: OpenID about to be mainstream
I would be very surprised if there isn't a plugin to enable OpenID on PHPBB forums, but j2 doesn't currently have support for it. I still don't bother with it, even after all this time. It doesn't sit well with me, but I can't quite explain why. Maybe it's the security concerns? One account for all ...

Re: Man kills bear with stick
Sadly, the bear was the mother of two young cubs - who had to be euthanised because it was believed they would not survive the cruel Canadian winter without her. Wha!? Hmm, give them the chance to fend for themselves, although it's likely they'll die - there's still a chance... Or save them the tro...

Strange to think that in many years time, if he's dug up, there will be this normal sized skeleton inside a gigantic coffin.

Large suicide bomb attack on a hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan
Rescuers in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, are continuing to search for survivors of a suicide bombing at a hotel, which killed at least 53 people. Some 270 others were hurt in the blast, which devastated the Marriott Hotel. The explosion, thought to have been caused by a truck bomb, left a six-...
