If your case can hold a full sized ATX then pick and choose a motherboard and a processor . Once you have chosen your motherboard use Crucial to find the correct type of RAM and buy at least 8GB as previously mentioned. ok so we already know what it had in it, what is the first thing I should look in to buying so I can get this thing going?

I don't have a budget really so whatever we pick I'll start saving to it and hopefully we can do this a bit at a time.

kind of thought so. Well anyways thanks a lot guys for all the help. I'm just going to have to slowly build off this one. No, it doesn't sound good at all. Mobo is limited to 16GB of RAM, with only 2 RAM slots, on a really old platform that doesn't support memory over 1333, so that's as good as it's gonna get. All the other parts are pretty low par by today's standards. Sounds like an end-of-life machine that he's try...

mudkip misses everyone! This sucks I miss hanging and talking to everyone and having a group of friends. I'm like having a j.2 withdraw here. Also the Halloween update! Fuck!! But I did get my hands on this 1 year older desktop so hopefully I can add a couple of thing to it at least play tf2 again.
