Alright, now that I've actually played it I can speak to a bit more. The game is an absolute blast. It's exactly what I was looking for. I don't consider myself a completionist, but I was feeling compelled to go doing everything for no reason other than it was fun. And there's plenty to do. I think ...

Found a potential sound fix yesterday. Tried it. Didn't work. During the one game I tried, I was also reminded about my crashing issue. My game just locks up for so long that I get disconnected from the server. Another problem that just never happened during beta.

I never got into beta. Going to actually try it for the first time this weekend. I know it's perfectly possible to take all the right ideas and implement them just...badly. So it's entirely possible that it's going to be bad. But at least it seems to have character. That's what's going to keep me aw...

I always have stuff open.. I suppose 16GB of RAM isn't as much as it was when I bought it, but it ought to be sufficient, no? Hell, right now I've got a fairly typical load and I've got some 13+ GB available.

D3 is looking better. But still terrible. It's just slightly less terrible than it was before.

I've had an obnoxious problem in release that didn't occur in beta. My sound intermittently fucks up spectacularly and may as well be muted. Shit sucks. I play a bit, get annoyed at random lack of sound interspersed with loud noises, quit.

Honestly, the only "justification" that they need is people buying it.
Prices are based on perceived value, not material cost.
I dislike EA for many reasons. Charging $60 for a game worth every penny isn't one of them.

It's not as good. But it is available today. And it's free. And it'll still be here and different if Titanfall gets stale.

Game is fun.

It's a bit more shooter and a bit less mech. But I prefer its quick action over MWO's painful timesinks. And it's got at least 1 game mode that I've not seen before. It can probably be related to something from some console game I didn't play because everything can, but it's new to me.
