Re: Humans on other planets?

We are gonna jump away from the alien subject for a second and talk about something a little bit different. Do you think there live other humans out there on other planets. Not humans that have different or misplaced body parts but just normal humans like us with the same civilization but a differe...

Re: Give me an equation :D

http://mathbench.umd.edu/modules/cell-processes_nernst-potential/newgraphics/goldman.gif I missed my physiology class and had to teach myself that equation and what everything meant. NOW THAT'S AN EQUATION. I work at a membrane caustic chemical plant with these chemical species. This made me smile....

Re: Depression

Depression sucks. Doing stuff even though you always feel meh helps a lot (at least for me). I agree 200% with going to the gym. Also being outside.

Re: I did something weird to my knee

So, this morning, I was walking down some stairs and fell, breaking the fall with my right knee. Something popped out of my knee's socket, causing unbearable pain. My dad came down, and tried to help but couldn't figure out what was up. Eventually, he slowly moved my knee straight, and whatever pop...

Re: Artificial snow production & rain

Yeah, I'm going to say that these guys are right. One thing you can take from Scoby's post is that the air is always moving. That means that whatever evaporates in vermont goes somewhere else to rain back down. This is just an anomaly of weather. TN has had more rain here than we know what to do wit...

Re: OS Question

I have 3 virtual box instances of linux running right now. Of the 3, debian is the fastest, and fedora is the slowest. I've seen that people have issues with fedora in a virtual environment, so I'm not sure if it is accurately representing the experience or not.

Re: OS Question

So I've been playing with wheezy 7.1, and I like it. Downside is that I'm having a hell of a time getting compiz to work. It is showing that the package cannot be found from any of my sources, but I've enabled all non-free sources as well as all free ones. I don't need compiz to get by in linux, but...
