One of the defining points of a good forest, imo, is not how dense the trees are, but how dense the forest floor is. So a good way to make the forest feel "thicker" is to add more bushes, shrubbery, and low foliage. It helps eliminate that feeling that these are just isolated trees on a gi...

I think you'd find some really good inspiration from de_museum (CS:S, not 1.6 version). The author of that did some really good work integrating custom models.

No, he's most definitely talking about the GoldSrc engine. If I recall correctly, your images need to be 8-bit BMPs ( 256 colors), with the last color (index 255, or the 256th color) representing the "transparent" one. I don't think it actually has to be pure blue, so long as the masked-ou...
