I've read a few (read as; A LOT) of comics myself, and I've seen perspective done well, poorly, and mediocre. Sure there is a few odd spots but overall I don't find it that bad in...

It's an artistic styling that's been around forever. A lot of the time perspective is butchered for the sake of making movement look more fluid. It happens more often than you think, you just don't notice it.
