what to do with the server?
seems like ETF didn't take off quite as i'd hoped - server is empty all the time. the cs:s server that fork is running is mostly empty too.
so we have this nice fast box on a good connection... what should we do with it? i'm open to anything

An expanded super mod sunday stylee thing would be kinda cool, but it'd take a lot of time and effort to get people downloading stuff then getting them on the server. Failing that, DoD:S would be good.

I would like it to be a test server for new mods and games. If we find a game that everyone loves then we will keep it. Someone would have to be active in updating it with new game. The server can change games every week/month or when we get bored of that game.
There are some great hl2 mods that I can't wait to play. When they do come out we wil have plenty to put on it.

I have noticed many 24/7 Dust servers manage to stay full all the time. Having stats and and some misc. plugin's is also appealing to most. The best part would be... to have an admin on most of the day, to deal with the occasional hacker and such (they just dont stop coming).
Now, im not saying to run a 24/7 Dust server, but I figure i'd throw that suggestion out there. As long as there is enough people in the server most times, any map would be good, probally enough for a normal rotation. Although I would run a poll on the front page to see what kind of maps people love/hate.

Something goes here, but it's not important
I would love to see a CS: S server with team goals like the old days also. I been playin on other servers but there nothing like the old days.
And now that they have some good maps coming out like Train, Compound and tons of Assault remake maps i would love to play with the Joe community.
Just my 2 cents.

We could just put a regular map rotation and put the server status at the top of the page (maybe if we can't find something else we can just link to something from http://www.serverspy.net/site/monitor/ ).
Don't put on custom maps (they tend to clear servers) untill we get filled servers most days during the week.
Publicity is the key, we need people who look at the forums to be reminded that the "all new" CSS server is ready for players.
