who in the community do you appreciate?

for me:

anon, for getting bender in irc and continually making improvements. irc used to be not much, a half-empty chat room. now it's one of the best things about the community. there is ALWAYS a conversation going on, and games to do and notes and stuff. it's terrific!

posts - you guys never or rarely see him post but every now and then he pops into the admin forums with something great. he did a ton of back-end stuff for the server and really had been a major technical help to us.

koko for constantly buying people stuff! he's bought me like 5 or 6 games, and he's always going on the server giving people TF2 gifts. he's so generous!

there are of course many many more people i could list but i just wanted to make a special thank you to a couple people i haven't really thanked before.

edit: i didn't mean for people to thank EVERYONE, just pick out 1-3 people who you haven't thanked enough

I have two options for making a post here. One is doing a dump of the member list and thanking a few hundred members. The other is thanking two people who don't get a lot of positive attention.

Posts - Our silent wonder. Our superman. If something goes wrong, he's there and before anybody notices it's fixed and he's gone.

Joe - Our hobo. Our direction. He may not play games with us much, but he has a strong effect on the morals of this community.

Everyone else in this community is wonderful as well.

Base - Was always cool when I put some pressure on him while we were finishing the TKH, damn good at what he does, while it may not get in game it was still a fun project and it was great working with him.

Joe - Self explanatory, founded the community, always trying to keep things balanced around here, has a good attitude on running the place.

Stabbyclaus - Love the videos you're always making man, really hope NebulaTV does well.

Yatta - Damn good mapper and damn fine admin, it's always good to have her around (Get more of your maps on the server! They're fun!)

Bl4nk - Even though Mbaxter gets all the glory nowadays you're still back there working on stuff all the time, the amount of time you've put into this community is astounding and it wouldn't be the same without you.

Jason - always good for a laugh, even if the shit he says is always ridiculous.

Django - You sexy Colombian you, never stop being awesome.

Scooby - always on my ass for something but it doesn't matter, the tech advice he hands out always serves me well, even if he doesn't always notice it.

Johnny5 - burninating all the people, should really come to the forums more.

Knoid - bedtime stories, 'nuff said.

mbaxter - pretty sure we've been bros since you got here (I was here first wasn't I?), saw you go from "that one guy" to "the person who handles pretty much everything ever". You're all grown up :')

Mr Blip - You don't take command of your team nearly as much as you should, never stop being persecuted so we can keep saying "free señor bleep"

Nightwolf - Basically the whole reason I'm here, first steam friend I made apart from people I knew in real life and is the reason I stuck around.

Neelpos - Wait, shit.

Waterbear and Django : for being the best friends I've never met. 3 amigos forever.

joe: despite getting shit from a lot of people. he has always been really nice to me.

Yatta, Axis, Kod, Stabby: for answering my questions in my map making endevours

knoid: for introducing me to the greatest Harry Potter fan fiction ever

Hydro/Mr. Brick: for making me buy Resident Evil 5 and stuff.

Xello: Best Medic in a pinch.

Travis: Always says hello to me when I join TF2.

Jason: even though/when you are going through tough times, always in a good mood and have made me laugh so much.

Puppyfruit: singing my girlfriend a song for me

Fraise: your sentry building shenanigans are amazing. games not the same when you're not there.

Parasyte: Being so hard to kill makes TF2 an especially challenging game.

Heathurs: Inviting me to Left 4 Dead games and being the first J2er to friend me on Facebook

Joe, for creating this community. Although sometimes we don't see eye to eye on issues, though his moral compass always points north.

Mbax, for always raising the communities vibrations.

Yatta, for her excellent mapping, aiding the community and great admin ability.

Sidecutter, for sheer awesomeness, and one hell of a teabaggin which I recall.

Neelpos, one of my fav person of all times, and playing without him is like toast without butter.

Sasha Nein, The man who has introduced me into the world of Eragorn, and now I'm stuck waiting for Nov, 8... great. Thanks alot. Its like Harry Potter all over again.

Velp, for always being very cool with technical stuff as well as good times in Gmod.

SurNim, for being a great Jumping teacher, and all around greatness.

Wolsky, who is adorable.

Ikri, who I could tell had an awesome energy about her.

Initial list for now, since it's getting late and I know I am forgetting people:

Dugan and Diggity: Those countless hours on end of L4D expert mode. Can be frustrating at times, but it was still a blast and a lot of my more memorable moments in L4D was with them.

Yatta: Pretty much jumped started my desire to make maps for TF2 and I had a lot of fun doing so, even though I never completed any map, I always thought just making the map was more fun than actually playing it. Also, got my rage spectating thing from her. Also, credit to classes.

Johnny5: Always energizes the server!

Fraise: Always fun to play with in TF2 with his randomness. Learned so much TF2 tactics from him just by observation!

Waterbear: Always enjoyed her stories that she'd used to tell me nightly and always fun on the IRC. Makes cool looking balloons. Also, has taught me to mute my speakers if I am logged onto Steam and taking a nap ( :P ).

Velp: Along with Yatta, always made a wonderful team during co-op or versus L4D1/2 games.
