Art!

Post by NinjaBirdman » Tue Dec 18, 2007 1:37 pm

I searched for a thread for posting art, and I know there have been some in the past, but I couldn't find 'em, so I'm starting a new one.

My drawings:
(from about the past year or so)
(sizes are in inches)

A Trip
Actual Size: 24 x 54
Date: 9/11/07
Medium: Charcoal, then colored in photoshop

Inner Peace
Actual size: 24 x 18
Date: 7/14/07
Medium: Charcoal, then colored in photoshop

Myth vs Reality{Work in progress}
Actual Size(of parts shown): 72 x 18
Date: 12/07
Medium: Pastels(soft)
Comments: My first real attempt at a pastel drawing. This is a work in progress, when it's done, it'll be 168 inches wide(that's 14 feet!), and 54 inches tall in the middle. Still a whole lotta work to do!

Fear and Loathing in the North
Actual Size: 11 x 14
Date: 12/15/07
Medium: Pastels(soft)
Comments: Looks way better in person!

Veronica Mars
Actual Size: 24 x 18
Date: 1/16/07
Medium: Charcoal
Image

Apollo and Starbuck
Actual Size: 18 x 24
Date: 1/12/07
Medium: Charcoal
Comments: Apollo and Starbuck, from Battlestar Galactica

River Kicks Ass
Actual Size: 14 x 11
Date: 1/11/07
Medium: Graphite pencils
Comments: River kicking ass from the movie Serenity. Another one that looks way better in person. Hard to get a good picture of a pencil drawing.

Got a few more on my facebook album here going all the way back to '98.

So post your art! And let me know what you think of mine!

Thanks guys! Yeah, that first one was definitely inspired by a fun guy.

Here's a higher res version so you can actually see stuff(like Mario getting the shroom).

WIcked cool. I like seeing drawings by people who are like good at drawing.

I am pretty jealous because I suck at drawing but I am like a superchamp at music so I guess it's okay.

Yeah, well, I'm jealous you're good at music. I'm only borderline good at singing. Always wanted to play an instrument(played trumpet in grade school and tried to learn piano), but I just never found one that really suited me. Except bongos, but I feel like anybody with a little bit of rhythm can play the bongos well enough.
