This weeks Humble Bundle. It looks pretty good.

Post by bloodcrow » Thu May 30, 2013 6:06 pm

Hi all.

This is this weeks Humble Bundle. It features The Walking Dead if you pay over the average price. It was $3.60'ish this morning and now appears to be $4.04 . I gave $10.

If you haven't looked at or know about Humble Bundle, it's an attempt to sell games directly from the producers of the games (mostly independent) instead of having them go through outlets like Steam. There are some games that you'll have to manage via Steam (such as The Walking Dead). Most of your proceeds go to the game developers but a chunk will be diverted to other causes such as the EFF. You can decide how much everyone gets.

Many times, but not always, Humble Bundle will revise the bundle and add other things as well. Sometimes it's soundtracks and sometimes it's games AND soundtracks.

The Humble Bundle 8 has good games, but I don't really care for this Humble Weekly Sale, personally.

Personally, i wish they would have more bundles with books (sci-fi/ fantasy). They had one about six months ago and i scored about five books, then they added two more.

People keep pooping their pants over The Walking Dead game and call it a really great story, but I heard the same thing about To the Moon and that turned out to be total garbage, so I'm reluctant to trust peoples' opinions as far as that goes. I'm hoping to win it from Steamgifts, but I may just shell out the $5 for it and see if my skepticism is validated or if it actually does turn out to be good.

If you don't like episode 1, please keep going at least through episode 2. Episode 1 is just kind of setting up the story with your generic "People are more dangerous than zombies" plot, but episode 2 is where it really picks up the pace.

I got it mostly just for Walking Dead. I always hear good things about it, and for $4.23 I couldn't really pass it up.
On a slightly unrelated note
Free Dear Esther key from Humble Bundle 8, first one to get it wins.

I hate that there's always like 3 games in these bundles that I already own. D:

still cheaper than buying a single on of those guys on their own.

I personally love this recent one, thomas was lone was itself worth the cost. Already have the game but i would enjoy having the entire bundle. Proteus was a new one I look forward to trying that game out

Thomas Was Alone is super fun, and Proteus is super weird but awesome at the same time.

They just added 4 more games: Tiny and Big in Granpda's Leftovers, English Country Tune, Intrusion 2, and Oil Rush.
Anyone who already bought it gets the games fo' free.
