New PC build for FPS

Post by Benroll » Wed Jun 28, 2017 6:06 am

Hi Joes, the hardware-related topics are outdated so I'm starting a new one.

I'm back to PC gaming and down for some FPS games like new Call of Duty, Farcry, Battlefield 1, Crysis, or Fallout ..
The $700 set here looks good https://thegreatsetup.com/how-to-build-a-gaming-pc/

It comes with GTX 1060 6GB SC, how will this baby help me in the longrun? I just wanna build it once and since I have no idea what the new games' requirement now so, give me a best call. Many thanks <3

This is a matter of preference, but I would go with an AMD graphics card rather than one from NVIDIA. I have an AMD Radeon Sapphire... something (can't remember the exact model off the top of my head 8O ) and it has been working like new since around 2013. The one I had before that came from NVIDIA for around the same price and I noticed it degrading quite a bit before it finally kicked over the course of about three years. I don't have a ton of info to back this up, but my AMD card is living longer than my NVIDIA one and i am happy with it.

Yeah Nvidia is abit more pricy but I had some intel told me that some games do really prefer Nvidia.

It's hard to decide lol
