Re: BF3 Platoon!
I finally got unapathetic about this game enough to download the beta.
Then I realized I had to install Origin before I could even begin the download and that almost stopped me. Then about 15 little issues pissed me off. None of them were that big a deal. But none of them would have occurred if it had just been on Steam. And I already know that whatever EA is planning, that requires them to be using Origin instead of Steam, is really going to piss me off. Anything I want them to do, they can do perfectly fine through Steam.
So, the files are probably going to sit on my hard drive for a few days before I feel like running them. And all this means that the game itself is going to have to be fucking absurdly awesome for me to really consider buying it. Or you know...having Prolix buy it for me.

The beta has convinced me not to buy it. Thanks for the opportunity, EA.

Well the beta is over. I will update the OP when the game launches with the new platoon! See you on the battlefield, sluts.
Re: BF3 Platoon!
Just a reminder to people who aren't playing the game due to the beta's instability - the beta was a very old build of the game. Most of the problems with the beta have already been fixed for the final version of the game. The beta was more just a stability test for their servers, and to find any possible bugs with connections to them.Avvatar wrote:The beta has convinced me not to buy it.
