http://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-3-Lim ... B005Q47M56

link if anyone wanted it. note it's DIGITAL COPY meaning they just send you an origin unlock code, it's not a physical copy delivered to your door (that version is still $60).

It's back down to 15% off on Amazon. You have to be quick to get the good deals from their site - they change their prices a LOT.

I'm definitely going to be getting this game, but not right away.

I think I'll wait for the game to come out...I think I'll fix up my desktop for it. I saw a screenshot of one of the maps, and it made me drool...

EDIT: This is the pic

BF2 was the first BF game I played (besides for the 1942 demo).

Sasha how can you say BF2 was boring, you could call down air strikes as commander and do bombing runs in jets.

I just said the airplanes were cool, that means everything air related was cool... I thought the game needed more vehicles,
I hated how you had to run so far just to end up dying, without seeming to get anything done.

I do remember sometimes being really annoyed in the big open vehicle maps for BF2. Like you said running across open ground for 5 minutes and then just dieing was never fun. I tended to stick with the "city maps" after a while.

True, but BF3 new recon spawner should help that.

Still BF3 needs UAV and commanders and airstrikes and bombs.

That's assuming recon players actually use it.

How much money per hour would you pay to be entertained? 10? 5? 1? So if I play the game for, say, 6 hours, 12 hours, or 60 hours at those rates, I'll break even in terms of value for my money.

I'll probably play more than 12 hours total (or even 60) so yeah, it'll probably be worth it.

Well BF3 does have the MAV (a UAV), and airstrikes, and mortars.. close enough?

I'll say this, if there is a good amount of j2ers planing on getting and playing it, then I'll get it. Since playing with known players is 200% better. Who am I kidding, I'll get it.

Need to Reinstall my desktop, need to get win 7. Also, I might upgrade the hardware some, but not much is really, needed...shows how long its been. I forget what hardware is in it.

I will mortar the SHIT out of places!

We should have a mortar detachment squad that follows the J2 assault squad and pounds the fuck out of a flag while the assault team mopps up.

I will gladly lead the mortar detachment.
