You can mod it to allow more than 6.

And break the game balance, yes.

We could set up a server, and depending on how many people are participating, just co-opt some other ones and fill them up with J2.

Edit: Also, The Ship would be fun.

I'll be there for sven coop, killing floor, and the free games.

About 7 years ago i hosted a svencoop entmod building server for a while. I remember waiting for ever for a new major version to be released, that must have happened many times by now.

For those who are just interested in playing killing floor with j2 people just hop into mumble in the after noon everyday, we'll sometimes have 3-5 playing at a time.

Right now there are 5 of us playing it at this very second.

Bumping thread for more input on what games we should play. We will survive! I'm updating the OP with the games suggested. Extra points for non-steam games.

Please specify that I mean Zombie Panic: Source Barrel Hunt.
That is the best way to play Zombie Panic, honestly.

ELEVATORS, BITCHES

also, how many people here own an actual copy of Halo:CE? AFAIK the demo multiplayer is limited to just Blood Gulch with basic Slayer rules, and games are only hosted by players (no dedicated support, basically). I mean this could work for a SMS night, but if we also have people who own it we could also do that later too maybe.

Also, is it possible to get everyone on one server in QuakeLive? Or is that all matchmaking?

You can't host a multiplayer game without actually owning it, though, but I'm sure there's got to be some empty or close to empty servers running (last time I played years ago there was some; and some full ones; it's not dead by any means, or wasn't at least then) I found a download on CNET which is most likely the same thing (I can't check now; but reviews say you can play online) :

It's free, you don't need a monster computer to play it, and it's fun for a little while.

then we can all play cs:s
