The good:
new map
buffs to ARs and SMGs
harder overkill

The bad:
money and xp rewards are way to low
nerfs to shotguns, the Loco is practically useless at any range except up close
gangsters and first-responders do more damage then bulldozers
increase in the cost of weapons, mods, and skills

Makes me wish Overkill would have waited till Monday to release update 11.

XP rewards aren't that bad honestly looking at Pro Overkill Rats or Firestarter which are both at 120k XP.
Though when it comes to cash it seems the new multiplier is broken that is suppose to apply to bonus loot.
Until that's fixed I can't play the game as I need money to feed my repec-a-day habit.

Shotguns kinda neeeded to be nerfed in someway honestly.
Sniping with the hunting shotgun across the map was pretty silly if not hella fun.
Still the nerf to the Locomotive looks far too drastic in my opinion with it losing 10% damage each meter after the first.

Now the increase to the cost of everything shouldn't be that bad once the money multiplier is working.
The increase to additional loot bag base alongside Pro jobs adding further multipliers ontop of the new ones will make most heists give out more cash than before.
Let's also not forget the spending money cut of 5% has been bumped up to 10%.

Personally, this has been a very bittersweet update because in the end a major bug was released alongside many of the things I wanted.

Edit: Glad they fixed the money issue, though Pro still doesn't effect the money like I'd like.

Payday is 2!
http://www.overkillsoftware.com/birthday/

The basics of the update are:
Payday 2 Demo available, looks like you can only play with others that are playing the demo and only on trustee bank.
Payday 2 is 20% which I'd say is a decent price, might still be too little to the game for most to consider buying though.
A Bear Mask for everyone that owns the game and joins the Payday 2 Official Group.
A Gambling option in Crime.net for the next 5 days that will take all your money away in an instant. Got some pretty sweet Infamous masks though.
33% XP boost for the entire weekend though seeing as the gambling option isn't going away until Tuesday or Wednesday I'd bet it's also staying until then.

So nothing major for anyone that owns and has been playing it, but it might be something y'all that haven't played the game before might want to check out.
Now lets hope they add the Spooks in time for Halloween to make the game more spooky.
Maybe they'll even sneak in the full skill tree reworks because it'd be sneaky like the Spooks.

Apparently, in all that I have said of this game; I forgot to mention this game is fun.
Game is regularly updated to fix bugs and DLC that doesn't require you to own it to play it with others; you just miss out on the new weapons and masks.
Go pick it up on sale on steam for $13.49 and then shoot cops or attempt to stealth the stealth-able missions.

New dlc out on the 5th. A mixture of free and payed content. The best part of the dlc is the weapon inventory expansion is finally here, and free.

As for the payed content, Armored Transport went on sale not long after it was released so I think I will wait till the Steam Christmas sale to purchase the weapon pack.

Hope the beginning of this new year will finally see the skill tree revamps for this game.
Anyway, if anyone picked Payday 2 up during the sale then I'm always down for some games.
I may have played this game to death by now and my obsession with it has dwindled, but I still enjoy it never the less.

For Echo and anyone else who has reached rep. 100, there is now Infamy. A sort of prestige system which gives bonuses such as these "masks".

Well, my suspected OCD has driven me to Infamy Level 2 and Level 80 in the 4 days so far this has been out.
If ever I needed a hint to get a life it's now, not that I haven't been told and informed all this time.

New difficulty! Combine this with all those new achievements and I'll have at least a weeks worth of game time ahead.

Also, more updates planned in the future according to this.

Here's hoping they start releasing more heists soon and before rumored heist revamps.
I wouldn't be against the heist revamps that have been rumored (Night Club was amazing after it's revamp), but I'd rather entirely new heists be added first.
