Gonna check this out, anyone play it? 'tis on Steam, free. A lot like ME3 multiplayer, I hear.
Got a new headset, so I'll probably be on Mumble more often.

Hey, long time, no posting.
This game is actually really fun. Quite a bit of depth in it. Sure, there's a really big grind to it to try and push the pay-stuff, but the game itself is quite enjoyable, especially with friends. It isn't the easiest to get into, even with the new tutorial they just added, but if anyone is interested hit me up and I'll help you guys get started.

Sweet, I just added you. I'm pretty new but I finally figured out mods so I'm having a ton of fun. I wanna get Valkyr ASAP, but I gotta unlock jupiter and level up first...

Yeah actually I think it's pretty worth it. It's free, there is a lot of grinding to get new things but the game itself is fun and interesting enough, especially with friends. If you had the dosh for it, you could buy some things like new warframes, weapons, accessories, etc. but the grand majority, if not all things, in the game are craftable once you get the blueprints for it.
Aside from that minor hitch, the game has a great deal of depth and just general 'FUN'-ness to it. There are mods, which range from simple stat boosts (i.e. Health +20%) to abilities, melee attack combos, special effects, etc. This means you can build each frame in a whole new way if you've got good enough mods and weapons for it to work well. Personally I'm interested in getting the Valkyr frame, which is a berserker. There's actually a pretty nice variety of frames to choose from, though the only real differentiation from each one is the basic visual appearance and the powers they can use.
The game is very fun to play, with so far only a few minor weirdness in how things handle. Moving around is very fun, base speed is very fast and once you learn the tricks for moving even faster it is very enjoyable to just run around the environments. Combat is integrated well, you can move pretty quickly while shooting depending on the weapon type, and the initial melee combat can be a bit clumsy but still fast and fun-- and you can get all new attacking styles with the mods for each weapon. You can also increase the speed you attack at for some crazy shenanigans.
One thing I think isn't really considered that often that they did very well is how they present the enemies to you. They never tell you explicitly how they work-- a lot of games feel the need to make a big deal out of every enemy you see, but aside from a small tip on their basic stats under their health bar when you look at them, you are made to experience how each enemy behaves and attacks in order to understand how to fight them. This is great because it doesn't minimize your intelligence, you just see an enemy with a sword and think "Shit they're probably gonna melee me", or worse get hit and realize that melee damage hurts real bad. Then you know to keep your distance or attack them faster before they can damage you. I think this is probably one of the best parts of the game, just figuring out how to defeat a new enemy, especially bosses.
