true, i saw a video on it.
it's wow ,but more non-linear
highly recommended to play it in first person mode, so it doesn't feel like the wow

I downloaded it once. It had problems installing. I wasn't feeling forgiving. I deleted it. I'm not terribly interested in this one. But I figured I'd give it that chance at a long shot.

So my first impressions are overall, I like it. It definitely feels like Elder Scrolls, and I'm really enjoying the combat. It's unfortunate the game is going to be locked behind a subscription because, honestly? I think I could get into this game.

I'm actually having a blast with this, I had no idea it was going to play so much like Skyrim/Oblivion. Might wind up having to buy/subscribe uuuuugh.

I don't know why I see so many vids of people playing in 3rd person, 1st is so superior.

1st person is incredibly inferior compared to 3rd in a game like this. You can't see behind you and your Field of Vision is incredibly limited in 1st person. If you plan on PvPing at all you're going to get rocked if you attempt to in 1st person.

I'm pretty sure it was just tacked on to satisfy the people who were wanting it to be more like a single-player Elder Scrolls game.

Its inclusion is what saves this from being a generic mmo with meh combat. First person actually makes it feel like an Elder Scrolls game.

Word, for the couple hours I played it (solely in 1st person, at least at the beginning you really don't have to be worried about seeing all around you etc) it felt very much like Oblivion or Skyrim. I like how the combat system feels like classic Elder Scrolls while it has MMO-like things thrown in with the different leveling system and classes and skill bar etc. I'm glad I got in the beta but my wallet wont be. This pretty much went from a 0 interest to a must buy after like 30 mins of playing. Can't decide if I want to let my girlfriend play on my account and split the cost or if I want to make her buy it and just get everything myself so we can both play. Will probably be determined by how well it runs on her laptop.

I'm gonna pull a major Seinfeld tonight and feed my girlfriend dope and sleepy foods so she'll pass out and I can delve into this a bit more. I'll be sad when the beta ends, most definitely be preordering this in the next couple weeks. Probably just digital standard edition, I don't see any of the digital extras being worth 20$ and some of the retail special edition stuff is cool but not enough that I can fork over 100$ for it, that's like 3 months of playtime extra.
