We were promised 'above 30fps' gameplay and we measured an average of 46.5fps across a series of clips. There's also a 30Hz mode for those who'd prefer to avoid the screen-tear.

I think a lot of those services were provided by Gamespy, and it's EA's decision to not dedicate resources to patching online services for older games. However http://www.gameranger.com/games/ is a service that provides support for some older games effected by the Gamespy shutdown.
