Kentucky Route Zero isn't a game in any conventional sense- it's a story with a few puzzles thrown in. In and of itself, it's hardly remarkable.
But what KRZ does better than no other game that i've seen is it tells its story in words and visuals in a way that's achingly and hauntingly beautiful. It's full of splendor, awe and more than a few moments where goosebumps crawl over me as reality splits at the seams and spills into a childish sense of wonder.
Updates to it are slow but KRZ is now up to Act III. I believe there will be two more acts released in the future- but there's no set date on when they will happen.
There are no other games that I would compare KRZ to but if you've seen KRZ and either wondered what it was or wanted to get but haven't, give the vids and reviews a look-see and decide for yourself.
