Hi I'm gonna rant about shit cause I can.

I'm so fucking done with this shit. I see it everywhere. People saying Steam is bad and a bunch of bullshit. Here's the whole damn reason why. Order of War: Challenge was removed from people's libraries in 2013. One motherfucking game getting removed from every persons library is the reason for this shit. Valve didn't do this because they're assholes, it's because you couldn't play the damn game anymore. Square Enix shut the servers down. You need to login to even play single player missions. I'm super confused while people are complaining about this. Do you just want an unplayable game in your library taking up space? No. People are complaining about this shit because they're constantly finding ways to attack Steam. Steam doesn't just remove a fucking game for no reason.

Also people complain you have to be "online" all the time. There's offline mode! You can play your damn games offline.

Like honestly, I'm just done with people shitting on Steam. It's a hell of a lot better than other things like Origin and some beta GOG shit.

steam kinda sucks sorry. The store is a mess, the library is still a big-ass list, the mobile app is like 3 Android styles old.

at least you can log in on multiple machines, install games on different HDDs, limit max download speed now.

People complain about steam because it normalized DRM and made the practice of "you don't own your games you're licensing them" widespread in gaming. Additionally it has HORRENDOUS support, any ticket you file will be lucky to not only be fixed, but to even get a response in the first place, and neither will happen in a timely manner. Steam has a lot of issues, don't swoon over it just because it's the best thing we have right now, success by lack of ample competition can hardly be considered such.
