Re: Fallout 4 (releases November 10th, 2015)
So far fun as fuck. Haven't played it THAT much just because I've been at work all week but I have Friday and Saturday off and I'll def be pouring some hours in.
Feels like a fallout game, nothing earth shattering has changed, but they fixed and improved a lot of little things over NV and especially over 3. All in all I'm just having a shitton of fun slowly exploring every inch of wasteland I can cover without dying.

my one complaint so far: they changed the ding dang key commands for a lot of stuff so i have to keep looking at the manual LIKE A PUNK

Re: Fallout 4
the VATS key not being on V makes me sad, and who the FUCK was the dingbat who mapped the dialogue keys to the arrow keys aaagh.
otherwise i have no major complaints about the control scheme
the dialogue in this game is reminding me of L.A. Noire so much... I pick "where's my son" and my character just flips the fuck out and i'm jonesing for a mod just to show what my character is going to say when i pick a thing aaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
Otherwise though general dialogue quality is pretty damn good. Story quality is also very well done, and it's done a LOT better than Fallout 3 to boot.
Combat is lightyears ahead of 3 AND NV. Weapon/armor modding is A++, power armor mechanics are very well done, and in general it feels MUCH better.
I haven't poked too much at crafting other for the aforementioned modding, but what i've seen of the settlement system and crafting things for that is pretty damn good, albeit a little confusing to use at times.
all in all, pretty damn good game. I'll be playing more of it, but not today because blargh i think i burnt myself out powering through those 18 hours

Was surprised I got this the day of release. Almost had the same problem as grindslurmhutter, but luckily I still had my old galaxy S4 laying around. Now it is the pip boy phone. As you would imagine it is not the most practical piece of equipment, and I also have an issue with the wireless adapter for my pc that causes it to disconnect every 15 minutes, so I'm not sure how much I will use it. Anyway it looks good on the stand too.
Django-Oh lord, take my lunch money. Please, don't hurt me!
Waterbear- You're dumb and stupid btw and i hate you for saying that forever
Adam- You are right. It's time we all stopped hiding. I'm a girl gamer and I know Joe, RottenCheese and Waterbear are too.

Re: Fallout 4 (releases November 10th, 2015)
looks like I might be upgrading soon
fallout 4 is definitely going to be a thing for me in not long
Going from no vid card to Geforce GT 730
4 gb ram to probably 8 or even 16gb
Finally getting an aftermarket cooler for my AMD 6800k
Thats about the req requirements of Unreal 2015 so hopefully that will work for Fallout 4 as well
hopefully that will also help me upgrade for VR later down the road

If you can I'd shoot for the 750ti. Still relatively cheap and has just a bit more power to put you over the edge. The game is optimized reeeeally well. It runs at almost smooth 30 with everything on high on my old gtx 480, so you shouldn't have too much issue in that regard

I really hate the limited dialogue choices. Always seems like none of the 4 are things I wanna say.
Edit: Won a boxing match against a robot. Feelin good.

Characters story and dialogue are my biggest gripes for this game so far. Wandering around silently by myself has provided endless hours of fun regardless, and I haven't played that much of the story still to know that much about it, but I have met a total of 0 interesting characters with anything worthwhile to say. Not even just quirky funny little bits of dialog like you see in most bethesda games.
