What is the only constant in the existence of the universe?

Now, many people will give mature answers, meditate, obsess, and/or commit suicide over this question: what is the only constant in the universe? It happens more time than the amount of combined atoms in the universe. Change is my answer. Thoughts? Other answers? Taxes and death are creative but obviously susceptible to change. I WILL nitpick on your answer, more than likely.

How about decay? Everything eventually breaks down into a smaller form until you reach the atomic level, right? This isn't really my area so I'm just throwing it out there.

Actually light is affected by gravity, so it's not always going the exact same speed.

change/decay can be rolled into one big ball of second law of thermodynamics
speed of light is determined by its medium (ie. faster in a vacuum, slower in water)
i'm going to go with energy/matter, since they are interchangable
