Entrepreneurship and Questions

Hey,
remember me? I was that immature kid back in the minecraft days who will make shitty posts about minecraft. Oh don't worry i would snitch too.
Anyways, i have a few questions for pc gamers and of course you guys are the smart ones. I recently started a business back in June 2015. It was based under IT Consultancy, then fashion provoked me because of Kanye west. But i don't want to design clothes like his, i want to be more of a Versace, Chanel, ralph lauren, etc. type brand. Now to really expand my growth of this company, i need money... Lots of it actually. So i'm deciding to start a kickstarter in april and pitch my idea to investors in the city of Chicago. I live in Illinois and Chicago is a great place. Also, my IT Consultancy will not launch till i graduate high school. Because i want that company to take off and build apps and design logos to catch anyones eye. Anyways, i came to you guys for mentorship towards to IT side. While I'm creating clothes and making lots of money, how can someone like me in 2 years reach out to millions of people? Gamers including. I have a whole business plan, but i wanted some ideas from you guys. Apps like Slack and drop box are great, but are you using them? Anyways, I have a temporary website williamsproduction.weebly.com and i recently collab with maybesunday.us Rn, i have a line coming out soon. All you will see is rappers faces digitally printed onto a gildan hoodie. And some logos i produced for start up companies. Soon, you'll start seeing luxury clothes, that's IF you follow me through out this journey. I made a total of $500 profit wise and $2,000 all together. Also, if you say my hoodies are over priced, HEY, my producer is expensive. Till i get my own materials they will be cheaper. i don't want to cheapen my brand, but anyways i would love to hear back from you guys. Thanks for keeping me in check on these forums, because my ass was so immature. Also this isn't advertising, i don't have anyway for you buy my products until march. But like i said, i want to know your thoughts and opinions towards entrepreneurship and the questions i asked. Thank you :)!

Not sure exactly what you're wanting to know? But here's a few tips just from glancing at this:

- Get a domain for your own website, and have it look professional. No one will shop if it looks sketch. The design of this one isn't terrible (it's a decent look if you had a fully functional site), but there's not much to it and there's no actual shopping cart or any way to order from the site. Something similar to that maybesunday site would be ok

- Get a professional looking email. lilneil7 looks like a high school kid running this site (because it is), but you don't want outsiders to see that and not feel comfortable giving you their money. Something super basic like companyname@gmail.com at least if you can't get your own email

- I would suggest coming up with a new name. Nothing about williams productions sticks out and doesn't sound like a clothing line. Something short and unique would be better

- As for marketing, I would suggest slowly plugging away on reddit for a start, at places like hiphopheads, hiphopimages, or something related to your clothing style. Not straight up advertising, but participate in the communities and every now and then throw it out there in a comment or something. Not sure if you use reddit already or not. Instagram would also be a good place to start, I'm sure I don't need to explain that one

- Do you plan on going to college? If so and you don't plan on majoring in a business field, try to take business classes as your electives or something. Try to learn more whenever you can

- Have you looked into whether it's legal to use these faces/pictures? I don't know the answer but I would at least check it out before you get too into it and realize that you can't print Drake's face and name on a shirt and turn a profit

PS: Gildan shirts suck, find a new brand

Acquire a domain name, preferably .com because old people can't comprehend much beyond .com .net and .org

Use firstname@companyname.com as your email address.

1. Already working on the domain name. I will be using shopify's e-commerce as a way to start. The basic package is $29 a month.
2. I was thinking about getting a new email, but i had that lilneil7 since i was in 5th grade. I kinda got attached to it, but i like starting new and fresh :)
3. The name williams production, i was thinking about changing it. I have no clue yet, but i like how you and me share the same thought on that.
4. No i don't use reddit at all, basically just twitter and instagram, but I'm building an audience on the instagram page.
5. Yes I'm going to chicago art institute for graphic design
6. Actually, it isn't. Im getting rid of the faces anyway, i got new stuff coming out for my spring/summer collection, but i thought i could make a quick buck off of it. I end up $250 profit wise :)

@Django - sorry... i guess? lol idk what you mean by that comment
@Mbaxter - you're totally right. making the email as we speak! :)
@MrBlip - not sure about that statement. It's not a pyramid scheme either...

Also, thanks guys for this information truly means a lot to me!! :)
