i'm working hard on my map and its coming along pretty good so far, hopefully i can have the motivation and the ideas to actually pout it out there, this will be the first big source release of a map i made, so i got my fingers crossed that i can finish this nicely, i'll talk to Mr. Homicidious :-P about the beta testing

lol Deski, my idea is a whole neighborhood snowed in and you fight under an ice cavern where all the houses are. Thats what I meant by the ideas are kinda the same. I just started working on the cavern displacements and I don't want to change ;P

EDIT: I am fine with you doing what you want, I very much doubt we will make anything close to eachother. Just wanted to give you a heads up :hearts:

Nice ideas from all. I hope Stormseeker won't mind us using his models... I was planning to credit him.
I'm still thinking about how I can make the main room of my hotel "warmer". I'd need a big old-looking bookshelve with old books in it, and a texture for a nice carpet. With that, I could make a "reading corner" which immediately adds a "cold winter night" atmosphere to the map.

The upper floors with the hotel rooms will be easier to make, and I'm tinkin about making a pool that goes partially outside.

PS Is it normal that whenever I make a map not using my own textures, I have the feeling the map is not really "mine"? Wish I had the time to create my own textures for this one... would be a nice challenge (for me)

Yeah. Snowfall works, snow doesn't. :D I used snowfall in Nightmare's prison room.
There used to be a signature here, but it's gone now.

I need some opinions: I'm hesitating between two kinds of wallpanels...
Which one do you prefer? This:

Or this?

The second one looks less out of place in the room, but it looks so bare. The first one makes the room seem less empty, but the walls just look a little off to me.

So I'd say the second one with some more props(that bookcase you were talking about, maybe some pictures/paintings) to break the repeatitiveness. The first one would work with a lot less work though.

The red is definitely a nice touch, but it's abnormal. That doesn't mean get rid of it; just add stuff to make it work. Also, the lobby seems kind of overly massive, but that's up to you.
