Realize that it is not finished, as some things still don't work.

looks like you used a model texture on a brush, never do that, they are lit differently, and cause weird shit. (i could tell it was weird because it was one shade all around, and my flashlight made it behave oddly, and moving room to room the ceiling got darker or lighter)

cubemaps weren't built, for hdr at least. make sure you learn how to use and build cubemaps.

this didn't really bother all that much but the pc fell through the table as soon as I shot it: http://www.homicidalape.mybigspoon.com/ ... b40003.jpg
that could probably be fixed by putting an invisible brush on the table surface or something.

These shirts made me duck a little, they should probably be passable.

and the map was way to freaking dark. Either lighten it up with a dim light_environment or add lots of bright light posts outside or camp fires or something.

edit
oh and I see that CTs get guns, but Ts have to use their glocks?

1st, ok I'll fix the ceiling
2nd, I guess I forgot to cubemap that version
3rd, Suppose I could throw a brush in there
4th, Will do
5th, When you say too dark, are you referring to the general map or just that you need some point of refrence. The point is for the map to be drack so CTs can watch the Ts without being spotted

6th er, Ts can buy things

I'm gonna check out your map tonight when I get home from work. It looks nice, but judging from the screenshots Ape took, there are some beginner's mistakes here and there (which is normal since it's your first map)
For your ceiling, I'd take the same one I used in de_xmas_hotel. But that's just me... I can't really tell how it's gonna look if I don't see it.

I'll let you know what I think of your map.

w/e, here's the next version.

http://www.homicidalape.mybigspoon.com/ ... _test2.zip

the ceiling texture wasn't the problem, it was just the bottom floor's ceiling. I also need to add some more bushes + darken because the lights got deleted when i tried ape's idea of using light_enviroment

( this happened) Image
(too bright + trees crazy shades)
