I'd say yes, if it's weird as much as it's creepy. Many people labelled de_hangcastle_s as a scary, but very weird map. So yeah, post up a couple of screenshots, because I'd like to see your map too.

I got a mapping question: you guys know the combine shield texture right? The kind of electric shield you can't walk through in Half Life 2. Whenever you walk away from it, it fades, and becomes invisible. Is there a way not to make it fade when you walk away? Do I have to set up special settings?

and finally:
@MrBlip: if you still need full Sound Forge, you know you can PM me right?
@Deski: For your alphabet-texture, I guess what bl4nk said about it is what you want, but I'm waiting for your confirmation before I make this.

I'm not gonna show too many screenshots of my map any more because I don't wanna spoil it all :P

what it would look like is this color texture:

it would be faster to just make overlays for each letter so you could apply them to any texture

It would be much simpler if you just wrote what you want written on a copy of that texture.

Or make a decal of what you want written and put it on the wall.

GAH! never thought of that! that would be alot easier. i might be able to do it myself tomorrow if i get photoshop but if not ill post the sizes tomorrow Boo.

vavle should just make a hammer option called "loop sound" cause now i gotta find some way to NOT pay hundreds of dollars to loop sounds.
