Abstract map pack ('HHH' map pack) thread

so i've narrowed down what im doing if this mappack is set

it's either:
1) The prestiege
2) The highway scene from the Matrix Reloaded
3) a combination of the 3 Saw movies

if anyone thinks one idea is better or is already doing one of my ideas, then by all means say so and i'll do that one/ not do that one.

Hey i saw the video and neat maps! I am still trying to model and well i think i figured out how to get it to work. I might need to write my own qc files^_^. Anyways does anyone know how to texture something with this shape? Or know of a file textureing tutorial for maya?

I am still working on my couch well I got the refrence completed now I am making the physics in maya. I had allready done it but it looked to have too many pollys to me so i deleted it to start again. If I finish it tonight or tomorrow i might just strip the texture and test it out to see if what I thought was right >_<

u need to create a UV map, then work from there, here is a tutorial.

Thx I am going to finish my pod racer after a log break and I noticed the tutorial I got for my pod racer has stuff on uv mapping if I need more I will check out the site u posted *bows* I feel so stupid sometimes lol. I am also talking to the dude who made the exporter to help fix my problems exporting ^_^

Comrade you should stick around here. I'm sure many of your creations would be useful for mappers and it's always nice to have your name in a maps' credits :)

PS: It's been a week since the mappack has been thrown out on FPSB. I'm gonna upload mine seperatly too.

The J2 Abstract map luggage brings probably rather one unusually to collection at scenes on the domestic Counter Strike: SOURCE account.



Altogether 6 maps are in that nearly 142 MByte large map luggage. Sometimes multicolored, sometimes shrill and present themselves sometimes somewhat diagonally the maps.



For undetermined ones it gives to be gone through 60 MByte a large Trailer in that all maps briefly. Much fun with suck and discover.

I just checked fpsb and to my surprise it said I had 10 new map assessments. I thought they might be people responding to the mappack but no, they were all assessments of my old maps, ones that I didn’t even submit (but now have control of thanks to the fpsb mods).

They were all negative, and all from our good buddy mkz.

ship_fight:
Pros: Theme.
Cons: Ugly brush name on a wall (noobish).
Blocky. Ugly texturing. Open areas (bad for gameplay). No objective.
Improvements: Better texture usage and more rounded shapes.
the_get_away2:
Cons: Way too open areas (bad for the gameplay) and ugly looks.
Improvements: More cover. Better texture usage.
the_stairs (source):
Cons: Just simply a bad map in every aspect of level design.
