[CSS] Putting Custom Models into Hammer

Post by Magnus » Thu Mar 29, 2007 1:44 am

Man, I've looked everywhere and I can't figure it out. Like, it won't show in hammer, where do I even put it?

:edit:

Ok, I got it in but it doesn't show, its invisible in hammer... Does anyone know why?

To import a model you have to use the "cycle" entity. Place this on your map, select it, then press ctrl+t. You should have extracted your model to your cstrike/models. Select your model. In hammer it looks like a pinkish box. Once you compile your map it should change to your model.

ok, dont use that stupid cycler shit that makes 1.6 such a pain. All you have to do is put the models in your counter-strike source/cstrike/models folder and the model textures in materials/models/whatever folder. Then restart hammer and you should be able to choose them in the browser.
