j2 Movie Mappack

Post by Dr.Boo » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:07 am

A while back NIPPER made suggestion about our next mappack having a movie-theme. Were we serious about this? Because if we are, I'd like to put my current map on hold for now and continue it after I make a map for a possible movie mappack.

Also, if possible, give us enough time for this... my job doesn't let me map as much as I used to when I was student

PS: if we do this shit, I'd like to make the town of Tortuga Island of the Pirates of the Carribean movies.

>combination of the 3 Saw movies
>spaceballs
>The Prestige

...but then I realized I can't map for shit and I don't have much time on my hands these days

Yeah I was serious about the movie mappack. Just wasn’t sure when to officially start it. I still haven’t figured out what movie I wanna do.

That would piss so many people off because it would be another western map where the buildings have no interiors.

Children of Men would work, the apartment area in the last scene just seems like it was made to be a source-engine map. I wouldn't attempt it unless I could get my hands on some decent tank and trashed bus models though.

The Volcano Lair from You Only Live Twice would be an awsome map.

It would be great as a bomb map or with hostages in the jail cells. Anyone who has seen the movie will understand. It's a James Bond movie. I really recommend seeing it. :D

seen it. seen all of them actually.

this map's a little too open for a cs map, as the henchmen will be able to hit the broad side of a barn when played and so anyone dropping down the hole will immediately get shot

Beth Accomando's report for Morning Edition.
http://www.npr.org/programs/morning/fea ... polis.html
Metropolis is celebrating the opening of its latest wonder: the Ziggurat, a towering complex designed and built by Duke Red, a brilliant architect. Duke Red is also the leader of the Mardukes, a militantly anti-robot political faction. Rumors abound that the Ziggurat contains secrets Duke Red has kept from the President and the military.
