yeah I'm sure I left some models in there after I took out textures. That chandelier is huge you likely won't find a use for it.

Dude, Nipper, I just saw the screenshots of your map and if your doing what I think your doing, you totally read my mind! If you need textures or map detail stuff, use this from Doombuggies.com. They have everything that you'd need for the map.

yup :D
I've already found a ton of resources(from that site and others) and most of the major work is already done. It's far from 100% accurate though.

The only major stuff left to do is the rides path, sounds, and details. I hate how spastic tracktrains are in source :(

I may need a torrent link to soundforge if I can't get my old copy working again.

And I'm dreading the full compile.

I'll see if I can somehow give you an installer of Sound Forge.
I have to update my WiP now that I think of it. My map is progressing and I think you guys may find it creepy. I'm just worried a bit about the lay out. This is a plan of the first floor:
Image

Black are walls, white are halls or rooms, blue are doors and red lines are stairs going up. The plan is not complete but it gives an idea. I have the feeling there are too many ways and open doors and that might be annoying no? Maybe I can lock some of the doors and put a few planks in front of them so that people see they can't open it.

And the doom sounds package is coming too. I just need to convert the sounds before I upload them. Unless you want to convert them yourselves :p

looks awesome

you're going to leave the doorways open right? One of the things I forgot to mention was that I hope to see a decline in the use of illusionary doors this mappack.

Yeah since my map is going to be a cs_ map, pretty much all of my doorways are open. Right now I think I only have about 4 doors (not including auto-triggered doors), and those are just like the entrance to the main place.

Yeah, that's not gonna happen!

Hah, actually, you'll find my silent hill map lacking of any enterable doors whatsoever. It takes place entirely outside in the foggy-ness - which will help immensely in optimizing the huge outdoor city streets area. One of the reasons why I chose Silent Hill in the first place.

EDIT: And so I don't have to double-post, here's some Hammer screens of some progress, since i'm probably the only person that hasn't shown anything yet.

I'll be adding these to the FPSBanana as a WIP.

No illusionaries this time. Except maybe for one as a secret passage in a painting or something like that. FOr the rest, the doorways will remain "doorless" for the sake of mobility and the only doorways that have doors, are the ones with planks in front of them that are supposed to be closed and remain closed.

Here is the sound pack I promised. I made a mix of creepy sounds. Some are just to scare you suddenly, some give an uncomfortable atmosphere, some are downright disturbing.
Remember that I didn't make these sounds, they come from Doom 3. So I'm not the sicko here.

Can someone tell me what causes this shit? This is how the room looks from the beginning of the round:
http://img262.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ib1rh1.jpg

But as soon as I trigger a trigger that turns off the lights in that room and turns them back on a second later, it looks normal like this:
http://img520.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ib2qa7.jpg

I do have a workaround for this problem but it's a bit... sloppy. I'd rather take away the problem itself.
How do you like my library by the way? I placed a soundscape in it that makes the room much more fun. Soundscapes are really great to add to the atmosphere.

I'm not entirely sure about your problem there, Boo - sorry. But yes, a good soundscape is what's going to make the atmosphere for Silent Hill. Awesome library, too.
