i'm going to have to go with the soldier and medic.
the soldier is such a versatile class. you can move just as fast as a scout if you need to, granted, you will lose hp, but a good soldier can dodge many, many projectiles. it's strong, it has a better crit rate, in my experience. and if you memorize the projectile speed of the rocket, you're almost unstoppable. from rocketjumping, rocketrunning, or uuber disconnecting, the soldier might be the best class to learn.
the medic is also a classic favourite of mine. especially when me and choobar get to medrape everyone :D
i would've also picked sniper, but snipers are so map specific, its usually hard to snipe on some maps, but its so gratifying to get headshot after headshot, wouldn't you concur?

when in doubt, I go engi. Teles can be really helpful if you get them down, and a well placed sg is good fun.

Second is pyro, because who doesn't love fire?

Soldier for the same reason as Young and sniper. snipers are just so fun, people go crazy if you have a really nice spot to snipe from. There is one downside with sniper tho and that is that they are preety crappy in close up combat.

Soldier/Spy/Engy/Demo in that order. Too bad I can only choose two.

engies sometimes do help, but rarely are they used properly. there are people who wait for teles right when someone just used in. in a lot of maps, you can get pretty far in that wait, if not to the point of interest.
also, people crowd teleports, making the team less productive.
there also is no order of priority in who goes into the teleporters.
medics and engies usually. but even scouts and spies take them.

im more of a combat engie, when i play, too.
sentries are used to defend, and are not to be relied on.
teleports are put up to see where the enemy is coming from. a good engie will know where he places it and places it in strategic locations in order to intercept the enemy with your pistol or wrench. the shotgun is for punks and is much less gratifying.

Demoman! So much power! So fun to harass engineers and their buildings. So fun to blow up multiple people with sticky bombs.

My favorite class is Demoman., but I have completely shied away from it because of friendly fire. I also like sniper, but feel like I am just trading pawns and not really attacking. So I have gravitated to mostly playing medic and spy, unless there are too many already.

Perhaps if that was the ratio, it would be different.

What can I say, I'm as ass.

I play as Sniper if I feel like racking up points. Also if I get sniped once by a camping sniper, I'll switch to sniper from whatever I was, dominate the tard, and switch back. Camping snipers bug me, how is that fun? Staying in the same place is just asking for one of your victims to snipe you back or stab you.

Second class is spy.

I guess I'm not exactly the best "teamwork minded" player out there...
