Hyped until release, and disappointing after delivery.

But, as I try to forget this update, let's talk about Smissmas, shall we? What new cosmetics do you think Valve will throw at us this year? Any predictions?

If not cosmetics,(ha), then what? Will we see a Smissmas boss? (ha,ha) Or some new weapons? (I wish)

As for Smissmas, the EotL update kinda made me not really care anymore. I'm just ready for the Steam Sale to start up.

not every online game has a lifespan of more than 7 years, yet alone having some sort of popularity after those years

In other games, sometimes is a straight up different mentality on that attitude, or they don't get the attitude in the first place
since most game franchises are sequelized, people get less pissy if you promise them a sequel every couple of years they can forget about the current issues

I own one, and yes, it was kind of hyped as it was going to be an innovation, but similar to the Virtual boy, There are not very many games for the WiiU in comparison to the Wii, (Or any other recent systems by Nintendo), and out of the games they made, not all of them are great.

The Wii did deliver it had many a good game. Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros. Brawl, Twilight Princess, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Party 8, Skyward Sword (I don't like it, but it is a really well selling game), New Super Mario Bros., Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, etc.

This update took literally a year to come out since it's announcement on Mc Vinnie's channel, and despite the mapmaker's work, and McVinnie's ideas, Valve decided against new weapons, even though they had hinted at new weapons, and Vinnie said, "No new cosmetics" and yet, that's all.

A year in the making, updates promising new weapons rather than hats, and a new map, which by the way, was the single most exiting part of this update.
No, they cut out the map, saying it was "Too complicated for new players." Even though people still get lost in cp_steel, no one fucking plays tc_hydro, and what the fuck is rd_asteroid?

The only good thing that came out of this update is the new taunt, and even then. Eh.

Those reasons are why people complain about it, understand?
