Yes, yes, it's a damn FULL FORUM ANNOUNCEMENT. I'm doing this because we're not likely to have very many people noticing it otherwise. I'll probably take it down a few days midweek and put it back up before the event. Anyway...


Natural Selection 2 Night!

Those of us cool (or suckers) enough to pre-order NS2 will all join up and shoot/stab/bite each other until our fingers are sore. Not sure if I can get a server on j2 going again (we lost all those files from last time. oops.) but I'd like to try. If not there's a TON of totally empty servers, so we could raid one (or one with people on it) and party it up.

Planned time of start: 9PM EST (6PM PST)

If you think you could make it at all on Saturday, make sure it's installed. 1.5GB of lovin.

Worth buying? I played a tiny bit of ns1 and could not get the hang of it. Just wicked fast little tiny things that would seemingly kill me in one hit and that wouldn't die no matter how many bullets I fired at them.

also is there a way to query steam and see who in the j2 group owns it?

re: worth buying, NS1 was one of the best games of the early 00's, and completely free. i played it for hundreds of hours and it was unlike any other game ever. even if NS2 sucks, it was worth buying just to show my appreciation for NS1. if you don't have that NS1 nostalgia, check out NS2 clips on youtube to decide

Natural Selection is still going strong.

The original best servers i always played on are still their and played daily and usually get full all the time.

Both <BAD> Clan Servers, Orignal+custom Classic Mode, and a Combat server.

Also best thing out of NS in years. Watch that shit

Count me in for NS2, i hope it succeeds once it gets optimized but thats long down the road.

So far i love a lot of the changes, its honestly the clunky non optimized engine thats holding it back but sadly its from scratch and cant be optimzied(or shouldnt) until mostly everything is in.

Count me in.
