I don't think anyone realizes that Magnus is basically the best initiation in the game, early game he has a force staff that PUSHES FOES WITH HIM and does damage, and then applies a slow?

Not to mention a long range nuke, and the fact he has fairly low mana costs on his skills early game coupled with the fact that his skewer is the most op shit in the game right now I find it hard to agree with you.
I find it funny you bring up those two spells as well, because skewer is infinitely better than waveform, and shockwave is infinitely better than powershot. simply put you're kind of proving my point about the whole "he does everything better" thing.

As far as I'm concerned, Magnus is probably the best hero in Dota in terms of CM (since Drow is not in CM), there's very little wrong with him, and that's why he's just too good.
Right now pros are realizing that Magnus has a lot of potential, and he is being picked/banned fairly frequently as of late.
But magnus is nowhere near as OP as Centaur IMO, but Centaur isn't in CM iirc
Basically, Magnus is such an insanely safe and strong hero that its retarded not to pick him, his Ult is enigmas but better, its easier to land, no channel, and much lower cooldown, reliable stun and damage.

He can also initiate without blink because of skewer, and a low cooldown high damage nuke along with insane cleave and damage to teammates.

don't forget about empower literally breaking the game in certain cases, like when a team has sven + magnus (edit: looks like you actually mentioned that, but yeah rp + empower is literally instapick/ban)

Patch 6.77, some of the changes are dumb, not a fan of the BH nerf at all, the Sven warcry had not that much to do with duration as much as it has to do with the armor.

Magnus changes are nice, Doom+1 armor and scorched earth is a pretty big deal.

Drow change was needed.

Icefrog still trying to keep Treant relevant

Jakiros was perfect, glad it was a nerf to the damage and not the stun itself.

Cents nerf seems pretty good, have to see how it plays out.

I like specters change, but doesnt seem enough to make her a pick.

Ancient Apparition
- Chilling Touch manacost rescaled from 140 to 110/120/130/140

Batrider
- Batrider can no longer attack while using Flaming Lasso

Bounty Hunter
- Track no longer reduces armor

Centaur
- Movement speed decreased from 305 to 300
- Double Edge no longer interrupts channeling
- Stampede now applies a 100% slow instead of a stun (as always, units cannot be slowed below 100 movement speed)

Clockwerk
- Agility growth increased from 1.2 to 2.3

Dazzle
- Shallow Grave cast range rescaled from 400/600/800/1000 to 550/700/850/1000

Doom Bringer
- Scorched Earth now also affects other units you control
- Doom now has too much armor! (+1)

Drow Ranger
- Trueshot Aura now only affects non-hero units within 900 range of Drow

Earthshaker
- Aftershock stun duration rescaled from 0.3/0.7/1.2/1.5 to 0.6/0.9/1.2/1.5
- Aftershock damage increased from 25/45/75/115 to 50/75/100/125
- Enchant Totem cooldown decreased from 6 to 5

Enchantress
- Untouchable AS reduction increased from 20/40/60/80 to 20/50/80/110

Jakiro
- Ice Path damage from 100 to 25/50/75/100

Lycanthrope
- Base Int increased from 15 to 17
- Spirit Wolves armor increased by 1

- Skewer no longer affects magic immune units

- Sun Ray max range decreased from 1600 to 1300

- Illusory Orb cooldown decreased from 13 to 12

Shadow Demon
- Shadow Poison cooldown decreased from 3 to 2.75

- Base agility increased by 6

- Haunt no longer ends when you use reality (the targeted illusion is still replaced by you though)

- Refraction manacost increased from 75 to 100

- Movement speed increased by 5

- Living Armor damage instances increased from 6 to 7
- Living Armor can be cast through the minimap (only considers heroes and towers/rax in this mode)

Undying
- Decay damage reduced from 40/80/120/160 to 20/60/100/140

Vengeful Spirit
- Wave of Terror damage increased from 18.75/37.5/56.25/75 to 30/50/70/90

Viper
- Base strength increased by 3

Warlock
- Shadow Word cooldown decreased from 20 to 16

Weaver
- Shukuchi damage increased from 90/100/110/120 to 90/110/130/150

Winter Wyvern
- Arctic Burn cooldown decreased from 60/50/40/30 to 50/40/30/20
- Splinter Blast cooldown decreased from 8 to 7
- Fixed Arctic Burn vs Roshan

Zeus
- Strength growth increased from 1.8 to 2.3




Buriza-do Kyanon
- Crit multiplier decreased from 2.7 to 2.4
- Recipe cost decreased from 1200 to 1000

Crystalys
- Damage decreased from 35 to 30

Eye of Skadi
- HP bonus increased from 200 to 250
- MP bonus increase from 150 to 250

Shiva's Guard
- Freezing Aura's attack speed reduction increased from 25 to 30

Kinda sad about cents nerf, but I definitely saw it coming, having a competent team with a centaur initiating was like... ridiculous, stuns everywhere.

I felt that they should have taken away the ability of your teammates to stun and just given them a straight up speed increase and leave the stun on cent.

Also feeling the sadness about BH nerf as well.

Yeah, been playing for awhile actually.

Lol, naw magnus isn't really a favorite hero of mine. I have a lot of fun playing BH and centaur actually.

Gimme a shout whenever you guys are online, it seems that mindflayer is probably in a higher bracket then I am, if your willing, I'm always eager to play with betters to try and up my game.

I feel like a nerf to the track gold not the armor reduction would've made more sense for BH. Right now he's just too strong of a pick to not take.

Magnus nerfs were ok, but I feel like RP should have a higher CD.
Centaur nerfs seem great.
Jakiro nerfs i really really agree with, and I think it's probably the most needed change out of the patch.

Only thing I don't really like is the lack of treant buffs here, treant is still just not strong enough until his ult can do damage, as of right now he's basically useless after the 30 minute mark, and he won't really do anything.

I really like the mirana buff though, if she gets some small tweaks in attack damage, move speed, or animation changes, you might start seeing her played again in pro games on the suicide.

I know Treant used to be a strong pick. At least in whatever pub level of play I was occupying way the fuck back in the day. Seemed like he'd always get a refresher and his team couldn't possibly lose fights. That was a long fucking time ago, back when he had free wards.
