cs_the_office
Very detailed rendition of the set of NBC's "The Office", the Dunder Mifflin building in it's entirety. Not sure if you can go outside, but I assume since it's a work in progress it will feature the parking lot.

Why isn't there a cafe downstairs????
Re: cs_the_office
man, parts of that map just look bad
The main design is right but some of the models/textures just seem straight up bad for that map. Plus, the basement should be a warehouse, not an office O_o?

That low res painting at the start. The obvious signs of VERY POOR USE OF THE CARVE TOOL in the stairwell. 'A' for effort. First map. Third tops.Gr¦m wrote:man, parts of that map just look bad

I thought it looked pretty good. Could use more custom textures / props but you can't blame him for that really. The days of the lone mapper doing everything are long over
I do feel kinda bad that it took him 3 years to get that far with the map

pretty sure the warehouse is off to the side and there is more office space directly underneathGr¦m wrote:Plus, the basement should be a warehouse, not an office O_o?

Don't rate a map based on how many floors there are or if a photocopier is in the wrong place, rate it on how well it feels to play :C. I think it looks interesting. It would be sort of ruined if I went through it pointing out everything that's missing from season one, episode 17. :s

In spite of the fact that it's deliberately trying to accurately imitate a location from a TV show? Obviously gameplay's important, but it seems like the main goal was emulation.King_Fluffy wrote:Don't rate a map based on how many floors there are or if a photocopier is in the wrong place, rate it on how well it feels to play :C.

Yes but it doesn't have to be precise. I'm fairly certain people can play, not knowing the name of it and recognize it, that ought to be enough.
Things like this just seem a bit much to complain about;

Has anyone tested this out yet? Looks fun.
