Announcing the new Hale's Own weapons effect!

If you have a Hale's Own weapon and want a custom effect for it, consult this particle list and tell us which particle you want, and what Hale's Own strange weapon it is. (Bonus: You'll also have the Midas touch! (Some weapons can't have this)). Do note that all rocket launchers are only able to use the flying bits or community sparkle particle effects. Also, to save a lot of time, please give us your steam ID.

Who can apply for a purty weapon with a revolving moon or whatever? You must have a reserve slot, and as mentioned in the title, your strange weapon is currently Hale's Own.

But there's a catch. A very big, important catch, and I'm being serious here: While your weapon has a particle effect attached to it, your weapon will not update kills.

Also, some particles look wonky. Keep that in mind. If you are unsatisfied with your particle effect, just ask for it to be changed.

So if you're still interested, please make a post with your desired particle effect, your strange weapon, and your steam ID!

Oooh, yeah...dem particles

I want my strange festive minigun to be more magical than it already is. Losing the kill count is fine, 30K is plenty. Will that also effect weapon filters (ie: dominations filter)?

I suspect that some of these may be a nuisance while trying to aim, so there's a few effects I'd like to see in action before I commit (depending on how "wonky" they look): 32, 33, 17, 14, 15

To think I was so excited to get 1k kills with my Rocket Launcher. Now to get 7k more.

Time for some hardcore kamikaze action.


On a side note, Think you could get some images to show what each effect looks like on the weapon (either first person or third) and weed out the ones that don't exactly work well?

Unsure on what will happen to weapon filters. Probably won't increase in count either.

Well, by wonky I mean positioning of the effect more than anything. It's kinda hard to tell whether you'll like it or not until you try it out. If you don't like your particle, no problem, we can swap it! :3

Still borked... Couldn't see it in-game, but in a replay I did briefly see the planets floating a couple feet behind me at head level...coordinates inverted? The Midas touch mostly worked. Sometimes players would turn gold, other times white.

Oh this is pretty cool! I have a Hale's Own Minigun that I wouldn't mind just having the midas touch effect applied to it on kill. Besides that, Sunbeams (id: 17) would be pretty cool as well.
