US Open Tennis

Post by Siri » Mon Sep 10, 2012 9:22 pm

NO!

Andy Murray, who was 3rd seed, just beat Novak Djokovic, 2nd seed, for his first Grand Slam title

Murray had beat Djokovic in 5 sets, with a score of

7 - 6 (12 - 10), 7 - 5, 2 - 6, 3 - 6, 6 - 2

D: Djokovic and Federer are slowly declining…letting Murray win

Uhmm, as you can see by the results, Murray is currently the best player in the world.

How many Grand Slam titles does he have?

Now.

How many Grand Slam titles do Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer have?

Murray is not the best player in the world, I'd still put Djokovic and Federer above him. Tennis is an odd sport, how can Federer beat Murray Wimbledon then lose on the same court a couple of weeks later in the gold medal match, it's all mental I suppose, well deserved for Murray though, one of the best matches I've ever seen.

Serena tho, my girl

also- nadal hasn't gone downhill after wimbledon, he hurt himself pretty bad, he plays hard, but he'll be back soon and in top form.

Murray almost always used to get to the semis or finals and then lose to Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, Tsonga, etc.

Now he's actually winning.

They grow up so fast.

A perfect 10 is Tennis Legend Steffi Graff.

Um Federer is 31, so yeah he's declining. Give him a break, though; dude still wins on tennis' biggest stages, and hasn't lost before a quarterfinal in a grand slam in God knows how long. He looked so bad in the olympic final, though, that part of me thinks he let Murray win the gold.

Never been a fan of Murray, mainly because he's been such a goddamn headcase his entire career, but it's nice to see him get that monkey off his back, especially against Djokovic. It's kind of cool to see each of the four top-ranked players win a grand slam this yea, too.

Anyway, it's true, it's nice to see Murray FINALLY win a Grand Slam…

It's sad to see that Federer's getting older (for a professional tennis player) though, he's always been one of my favorites ):
