Bumped because of the valentine's day update:

The ring is a buyable item that you can get in the tf2 store, and its $100

It comes with a free giftwrap and nametag so you can gift it to your special someone and name it whatever you want them to see it as.

When you gift it to someone, a menu pops up saying, "blah blah has proposed to you, do you accept? Yes, no" (I would presume)

After that, both people (giver and receiver) get a miscellaneous item

Does it only work once? So can you get more then one miscellaneous item?

I hope it has something to do with the coal, but you can't craft it in TF2 and it's name debunks my theory that it could a super hard to get item that anyone could get.

I heard that if you buy all of the games of the steam winter sale, you might get it

When you buy one, it comes with gift wrap and a name tag. However, from what we've seen, most want to be cheap asses and not use the tag on it. You do need to use the gift wrap on it since the ring itself isn't tradable, then trade it and when the recipient opens it and accepts it, this "tool" turns into a pair of matching misc diamond rings you can wear on the left index finger on any class. You get one ring and the recipient gets the other.

To answer your question, as long as you're willing to fork over the extra $100's, yes I would imagine you could get multiple rings and be a polygamist, but you can only wear one ring at a time.
