Well if you are playing with someone they have skins set for different players instead of just a bunch of Steves running around. But in the next update you can actually customize skins.

anyone else realize youre getting ripped off if you buy minecraft for the 360. when notch first had us pay for our minecraft accounts we paid for the game whether its complete or not, and for all future updates and versions to the game. why do we have to pay now for a different version of the game, when we were promised all versions for current minecraft players would be free to us. isnt this illegal?

I don't really mind paying an extra $20 for a game I'll likely spend hundreds of hours playing that constantly has content added for free.

Shit, half the games I own for Xbox I enjoy half as much as minecraft and paid three times as much for.

By versions of the game, I think they meant different updates and stuff, not actually versions of the game on console
