I need to get gold again for XBL; I don't think I've had it since senior year of high school. Then again GTA V is the first game I've purchased for the 360 since like MW2.

Online is pretty fun once you actually get to play it. I really hate games that force you to go through a tutorial at the beginning. Just let me play the fucking game, jesus. You have to do like 2-3 super easy missions once you connect to online before you can do anything else, and it forces you to watch the cutscenes and everything. It's just really fucking annoying

Also after I had made a pretty badass looking character, my game froze when connecting to the game for the first time and I had to restart my xbox. When I did that, I lost my character and it gave me some random dude that looks creepy as fuck and I'm not sure how, or if it's even possible, to change the looks of him now. A little bit of googling says it's a common problem right now though

GTA V is a mainstream-as-fuck game and they need to guide you though the pretty complex UI / game systems. The opening wasn't great, but I think something like that was required.

I need to play some more, but my first hour experience is the same as many console MP games: too much downtime. It feels like 5 menus between rounds.

Well I just now realized that when it replaced the online character that I created with their own random guy, it also cleared the stats that I had gave him through that attributes menu. So i started online play with no base stats, literally 0 in every stat. And there's no way to edit...
