Anyone up for some Civilization 5?

Post by KatanaRama » Fri Jun 27, 2014 4:23 pm

I bought the game today and I thought it would be be fun if me and anyone else who has the game and wants in, got together and had a good ol' game of civ. We could use mumble or just the game's built in chat boxes to talk and stuff.
Players would need to have the complete edition (I'm not sure if everyone has to have the same dlcs so i'm just playing it safe). You can use any civ you want, but keep in mind that i'm disabling the time victory.

Settings i'll be using:
Game pace: Quick or Standard
Map type: Any/random
Turn system: Hybrid or RTS
Map size: Large

If you want in then you can reply below or add me on steam (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198093595888/). I'm open to any suggestions regarding the settings and stuff, and i'm still figuring out a date for this (whatever works for everyone).
I hope that at least a few people are up for it, and if so i'll see you whenever this happens.

It is impossible to find a group of people with the time and patience to play civ 5, especially when you have to play in multiple sessions, which you often do with civ 5. Plus when one person quits everyone has to quit unless you're assholes that will leave his civilization to the AI.

I guess we'll just have to deal with that then. If a player decides to leave then that means they acknowledge the fact they have abandoned their people in their time of need, and forsake their fates to the mercy of the other players and the terrible AI.
So if people don't want that kind of thing to happen, then we have to make sure to find a time-slot that suits almost everyone's best interests.

I'm in, as long as the game pace is set to quick.

Okay so I looks we got a decent amount of people who want to do this. So what day and time should we have this happen? I'm open for almost any time, so whatever works for all of you guys.
