I'm kinda hesitant to make another map with music and stuff in it But I'm thinking about what I can do with stock assets only...
Nice job on that map. Dredd's buildings definitely have some pretty cool architecture.

As for copyright and the steam workshop, your CS:GO ports that contain music haven't caused copyright trouble with steam, have they? If not, I would assume that a new map would be just the same.

Yeah, well they're really good. You've stepped up your game recently, if that was even possible.

Multiple people I know who have played your maps actually said that part of the reason they liked these new csgo maps is that their release times were sudden and came right after a string of ported maps where they weren't expecting anything new for a while.

I'm planning on making a somewhat-serious entry. I mean it's not like I have any chance at winning but whatever.

Collaborations are allowed and encouraged. Any contest winnings arising from a collaboration will be split in accordance with the collaborators' mutual agreement.
Could collaborate if you're not so confident. Your maps are always well designed when it comes to layout, only thing I could think of that would make you less confident is that other mappers just focus on making their maps prettier than you do, which results in "oh good resource hogging my favorite."

Thanks for the heads up though, I'll probably add the top ones to CS:JO when the contest concludes, as well as any J2 entries of course.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get your name on the loading screen like the operation maps do?

I don't know how to do the highlight but I think it's just a mapname.txt file

Even that doesn't show up for me half the time.
