ctf_waterworks has a hilariously simple way to get out of the map. all you need to do is jump out between the fence and the raised bit of ground here

from there you can get on top of everything

(yes, they can shoot people on the ground below)

it might be possible to walk off the side off the roof and sort of end up on the bottom of the map, I didn't try it but someone else (zephyr47 iirc) had some success with doing so

not sure. it just has ctf_waterworks, while we have _v2.

also, I suggest capping this map to 18 players. it's pretty small and turns into quite the shitstorm

edit: on second thought, maybe 20 or 22 players

just tried _v2 and this exploit is not patched at all... might even be easier.

gonna add the map maker on steam, but given that this map is 7+ years old I do not have high hopes
I asked David Geffen personally if he'd donate to TF4 for me, but he wouldn't do it

Bug on pl_retawdab.

Cart goes invisible and caps by itself. Doesn't win the round, but it just caps by itself and there's the explosion sound on the very last point.

Are you sure it's a bug with the map and not another glitch? Keep in mind that there still is a glitch where you can explode the final point on pl maps, which ends the game.

I made a list of suggestions for our ctf maps. also, I realized that we have a bunch of ctf maps that never get played...
VIEW CONTENT:
ctf_atrophy
- played it once and reception was lackluster. should playtest again and remove if necessary.

ctf_aurora_rc
-very rarely gets played. oughta be playtested

ctf_chaos
-should be moved to silly. shitfest of a map.

ctf_cruise_b4b
-crap for serious play, would probably fit better in silly.

ctf_dirtwork
-might belong in silly, I think I've only played this map in low grav

ctf_fusion_b2
-complicated gameplay (not vanilla ctf). should playtest.

ctf_mach4
-might fit better in silly

ctf_premuda_b1b
-I think we played it once and it was a shitshow? can't remember too well. anyways, might be worthwhile to playtest.

ctf_trof2
- ... it's 2fort. should be removed, if not cast into the fiery depths of Mt. Doom.

ctf_waterworks_v2
-talked to map maker. No longer has the files, but gave me permission to decompile and mess with it. Might do it. I vote in favor of keeping this map, because: (a) the exploit is pretty noticeable, (b) the exploit can't really be accidentally done, and (c) most of the time this map is pretty relaxed and thus there's less desire to cheat to win.

similar combination cp/ctf style as haarp. used by slaughterhouse as their drunken 16v16 map of choice, and I think it's one of my favorite maps for large scale battles. It's got some pretty bad chokes, but on the other hand you can capture pretty much instantly... makes for interesting play.

this map tones down the crazy shit that normal trainsawlaser has in this interest of making it more playable. since trainsawlaser generally has a somewhat murderous effect on server population, this might be a good way of balancing that while still having a wacky map to play on
