Question: Will this be coming out for PC as well?

And wow, video game graphics sure have come a long way. That gameplay footage looks almost like scenes from a movie.

The game looks incredible, and runs really well for me. Too bad the gameplay is a total clusterfuck.

I wish this was the case! Different classes, proper vehicle spawns, choosing where to spawn and squads would all improve the mess they have now. The system for vehicles and other "power-ups" they have is just idiotic. The card system is pretty stupid too.

With the two multiplayer maps they have now you pretty much just spawn in a seemingly random spot out in the open and get shot from every angle. Most of the time as a rebel you spawn directly in front of an enemy turret or in front of the AT-AT and die instantly. Seriously I was in the AT-AT once and saw entire groups of Rebels spawning directly in my line of fire and my KDR by the end of the round was like 40-3.

God yes.

I'll take it being battlefield over whatever the fuck it is right now. Power up system is plain stupid. Vehicle spawns are random drops...?

Hoth as Rebels is just instant death every time you spawn, too.

The game looks beautiful and sounds amazing, but yikes everything else is pretty bad.

I think the vehicles as powerups mechanic has a good idea somewhere in it. Vehicles are generally a buff to damage, armor, and maneuverability, so they've always been powerups in the abstract. In previous BF games this was limited by limited spawn points and timers. The powerup mechanic really isn't that different from how it used to be except now there's no newbs grabbing the only jet spawn and immediately crashing and wasting it, and no horde of people camping around vehicle spawns instead of actually going out and fighting.

I think the current implementation is still bad, though. It makes pub play a bit better but at a distinct cost to organized play. That's not even talking about how immersion breaking the powerup system is. Honestly I feel about as immersed playing Battlefront as I did playing the old N64 games. The graphics and sounds are fantastic, of course, but as soon as I see a spinning powerup the illusion starts to feel very cheap and paper thin.

on the playstation quad, fucking blew one up on the first objectives, 2nd got fucked in the middle.

and I killed vader so good job me.

EDIT

after IN-DEPTH 30FPS PS4 video capture analysis, it appears I may not have killed vader, though I did get two "hero damage" / watched him die.
