So for all those who actually still care, there's now an official Steam group for the TF2 competitive beta.
From a thread on Reddit /r/tf2 that can be seen

Seeing as 2 of the 3 admins of the group have "Valve Employee" badges (it seems the last one has a private profile) and all 4 of the moderators have Steam Community Moderator badges, this is 100% legit and happening™
Any thoughts?

If it's anything like Dota2 or CS:GO, it's just going to mean more drama.
Also the gradual downfall of community servers.
