The nerf'd version is costing $500. That version can't play blu-ray movie discs whenever they come out. And has a crappy HD. ANd some other poop. It's worse than the core version of the 360.

I'm thrilled that the Wii looks like a piece of shit. I was worried I'd be tempted to buy it just for Mario/Zelda/Metroid like I was with the Gamecube. But after seeing the controller in action... I can cheerfully say that I won't be the least bit tempted.

I'd definately check the booth for splashdamage/id and see ET:QW. If the gameplay is anything like the original or better, it will blow 2142 out of the sky, both gameplay wise AND visually.
